미드웨이 교회는 하나님과 세상을 잇는 통로가 되어, 모든 성도가 홀로 걷지 않고 함께 나아가는 신앙 공동체를 꿈꿉니다. 우리의 모든 사역은 '위로 하나님과 연결되고, 곁으로 이웃과 동행하는 것'에 그 뿌리를 두고 있습니다.

1. 연결됨 (Connectedness): 생명의 근원에 연결되기

우리는 세상 속에서 참된 정체성을 회복하기 위해 '연결'에 집중합니다.

하나님과의 연결 (Worship): 형식적인 예배를 넘어, 삶의 모든 순간이 하나님의 은혜와 맞닿아 있도록 돕습니다. 예배 중심의 공동체로 예배를 통해 영적 생명력을 공급합니다.

성도 간의 연결 (Community): 그리스도의 사랑 안에서 하나된 공동체를 지향합니다. 소그룹과 교제를 통해 '영적 가족'의 소속감을 제공합니다. 유학생, 이민자, 임시거주자 등 다양한 사람들이 그리스도의 사랑으로 하나되는 것을 추구합니다.

세대 간의 연결 (Generation): 신앙 유산을 다음 세대에게 전수하며, 모든 세대가 한 공간에서 신앙과 사랑으로 연결되는 역할을 수행합니다.

2. 동행 (Walking Together): 삶의 자리에 함께 머물기

연결됨이 우리의 정체성이라면, 동행은 우리가 살아가는 방식입니다.

서로와의 동행 (Pastoral Care): 기쁠 때 함께 웃고 슬플 때 함께 우는 '곁의 영성'을 실천합니다. 영적 성장의 여정에서 외로운 분들이 없도록 함께 합니다.

이웃과의 동행 (Mission & Service): 교회의 담장을 넘어 지역사회와 소외된 이들의 친구가 됩니다. 특히, 유학생, 이민자들의 외로움과 필요를 채우기 위해 노력합니다.

일상과의 동행 (Discipleship): 주일의 신앙이 월요일의 삶으로 이어지도록 돕습니다. 성도들이 각자의 일터와 가정에서 그리스도의 제자로 살아갈 수 있도록 실질적인 훈련과 지지를 아끼지 않습니다.

Midway Church dreams of being a bridge between God and the world, a spiritual community where no member walks alone but everyone moves forward together. All our ministries are rooted in "being connected upward to God and walking alongside our neighbors."

1. Connectedness: Being Connected to the Source of Life

We focus on "connection" to restore our true identity within the world.

Connection with God (Worship): We help ensure that every moment of life touches God's grace, moving beyond formal worship. As a worship-centered community, we provide spiritual vitality through our services.

Connection Among Members (Community): We aim for a unified community within the love of Christ. Through small groups and fellowship, we provide a sense of belonging as a "spiritual family." We strive for various people, including international students, immigrants, and temporary residents, to become one in Christ's love.

Connection Between Generations (Generation): We pass down the heritage of faith to the next generation and serve the role of connecting all generations through faith and love in one space.

2. Walking Together: Staying Together in the Places of Life

If connectedness is our identity, walking together is our way of living in the world.

Walking with One Another (Pastoral Care): We practice the "spirituality of presence"—laughing with those who rejoice and weeping with those who mourn. We walk together to ensure no one feels lonely on their journey of spiritual growth.

Walking with Our Neighbors (Mission & Service): We reach beyond the church walls to become friends with the local community and the marginalized. In particular, we strive to alleviate the loneliness and meet the needs of international students and immigrants.

Walking with Daily Life (Discipleship): We help the faith of Sunday carry over into the life of Monday. We provide practical training and support so that members can live as disciples of Christ in their respective workplaces and homes.

미드웨이 교회는 미드웨이 심플처치를 함께 세워가고 있습니다.

미드웨이 심플처치는 주일에 교회에 나오지 못하는 청년들, 아직 교회에 오기에는 어려움이 있는 분들을 시티와 대학 캠퍼스에서 만나 교제하고 예배하는 선교적 교회입니다.

Midway Church Sydney is also building Midway Simple Church together.

Midway Simple Church is a missional community that meets young adults who are unable to attend Sunday services or who may find it difficult to step into a traditional church setting.

We gather in the city and on university campuses to share fellowship and worship together.

UTS 대학교의 공식동아리 한인기독학생회 모임 (GP-God's People)을 섬기며 USYD 시드니대학교 Power to Change(한국선교단체 CCC의 호주단체명)와 협력하고 있습니다.

Campus ministry is a central part of our calling.

We serve the UTS Korean Christian Student Fellowship (GP - God's People) and collaborate with USYD Power to Change (the Australian branch of the Korean mission organization, CCC).

교회의 리더십들의 대부분은 유학생 출신의 이민 1세대, 이민 1.5세대 입니다. 저희는 호주에 첫발을 내딛는 분들의 마음과 상황을 잘 알고 있습니다. 그런분들에게 그리스도의 사랑으로 환대와 소망의 교회가 되고자 합니다.

Most of our church leadership consists of first and 1.5-generation immigrants who once arrived here as international students. Because of our own journeys, we deeply understand the hearts and challenges of those taking their first steps in Australia. We strive to be a church of hospitality and hope, welcoming you with the sincere love of Jesus Christ.
